Week commencing 24th May
Last week we read the story 'If The Dinosaurs came Back'. The story is all about what would happen if the Dinosaurs came back and we spent last week thinking of our own ideas, ready to make our own class version of the book. We have drawn our story setting pictures and are ready to add our fabulous writing onto it this week. We will also be practising our rhyming skills later in the week through lots of different rhyming games. You can help at home by thinking of different rhyming strings for your child to continue (for example, bat, cat, mat...)
In maths we will be spending another week looking at subtraction. Last week we used practical objects to help us and this week we will be moving on to using number lines to work out the answers. Later in the week we will be moving on to subtraction word problems (for example, if you had 5 apples and you gave 2 away, how many would you have left?)
Please remember that Friday is an Inset Day and so school will be closing for the holidays on Thursday 27th May.
