This week the children will be finding out all about the different jobs that need doing in and around a castle. They will be reading a variety of job adverts and then applying for a job of their choice by filling out an application form!

They will also be writing their own reports, saying what they have enjoyed this year and what they think they need to try harder with when they join Year 2.

Maths

This week we will be continuing our topic on measurement by focussing on time. The children will be looking at days, dates and practising telling the time.

Topic

This week we the children will be working in teams to be build their very own castles using the resources available in our sculpture base. They will also have the opportunity to play with the small world castles and characters to put some of their knowledge about castle life into practise.

 

Ways to help at home

Ask your child what jobs people used to do in castles and which job they applied for.

Talk about special dates with your child, birthdays, Eid etc

Practise telling the time together.
