This week the children will be writing a recount of the ‘Pentland Pentathlon’ that they took part in last week. They will also be listening to another alternative version of ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ called ‘Jack and the Baked Beanstalk’.

Maths

This week the topic for maths is money. The children will be practising recognising coins and notes. They will also be taking part in practical activities where they are counting coins.

Topic

This week we will be finding out more about Castles and answering some reading comprehension questions about different parts of castles.

We will also be looking at the work of the artist Paul Klee. In particular we will focus on his ‘Castle and Sun’ piece and recreating it in different media.
