This week we will be investigating a visit from Beegu’s cousin, Deegu who has landed on Earth from Outer Space and is exploring around Pentland!

 

We will be thinking about the conversations that Beegu and Deegu might be having with each other about Planet Earth. We will also be naming and writing about the planets that the children created last week.

Maths

This week we will be learning about fractions, in particular we will be concentrating on wholes and halves of shapes and numbers.

Topic

This week we will be thinking about how the children are celebrating Eid and making some cards for their families. We will be reading a lovely story ‘Golden Domes and Silver Lanterns’.

We will also be exploring the school grounds to investigate sightings of Deegu! 

We will also be learning a little about Florence Nightingale.

Ways to help at home

Can you cut fruits, vegetables etc into halves with your child?

Ask your child if they can tell you the order of all the planets in our solar system.
