Oliver Jeffers Review of Week Beginning 20th May 2024

This week we have introduced our children to a new text- One Day on our Blue Planet by Ella Bailey. This text  provided our children with the opportunity   to research and complete a lion fact file by looking at the internet, books and other sources. The book also provided a Geography link, through studying the Savannah.

In Maths our Year 1s have continued their work upon fractions, looking at a quarter of objects/ shapes and finding a quarter of a quantity.

Our Year 2s have moved on to Time, telling the time... o'clocks, half past, quarter past and quarter to.

In Science our Year 1s have been thinking about which parts of the plant you can eat.

We have been practising our ball skills in PE>
